IMPORTANT CHANGE TO THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM - RADIATION ACCIDENT IN JAPAN

Dear Sir or Madam,

in view of the Fukushima radiation accident this year´s 19. Nuclear Medical Defence Conference will be extended for one day in order to include this major topic. The conference will start on May 16th, 2011 and will now finish on May 19th, 2011.

The Fukushima radiation accident has tremendous implications, amongst others for medical radiation protection. Within the shortest time we were able to recruit well-known national and international experts that will highlight various aspects and perspectives to this subject. Nevertheless the program will be continuously updated.

The present conference program will remain. However, changes in the program execution might occur due to the organizational reasons. The conference will start with the icebreaker on May 16th, 2011 and finish om May 19th,
2011 at noon. The Fukushima topic will be presented at the first day (May 17th, 2011).

Free accommodation within the Military Medical Academy is limited and will be provided on a first serve basis. As we already have received many reservations, we would like to ask you to register as soon as possible. There will be no registration fee.

The conference dinner on May 17th will take place directly at Tegernsee.
On May 18th there will be a barbecue event in Officers´ mess.

Please find details and registration on our website www.nmd-conference.org

We would be delighted if you could join us for this event. Please feel free to distribute this invitation to any of your colleagues who might be interested in attending.

Yours sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Meineke
